History

Skyline and its family of companies have been in the real estate development business in Boise, Idaho for over forty years.  Edward A.“Ted” Johnson founded Skyline in 1967 and has been influential in the growth of Boise and the surrounding area. Ted and Skyline have become synonymous with residential development in the Treasure Valley with permitting over 7,000 home sites and of these, Skyline has completed the development of over 5,500 sites. About 15,000 Treasure Valley residents live in a Skyline neighborhood. Skyline is known for their longstanding reputation of integrity. They have raised the bar for innovative, beautiful and successful residential neighborhoods that build lasting value.

Skyline’s projects include residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. Their latest endeavors include a planned community and a PUD in the Boise area:  The Cliffs, which was entitled in late 2006 with 1,350 residential, mixed-use and commercial lots on 707 acres in southeast Boise; Arbor Hills, a proposed 6,700 lot fully integrated community three miles south of the Boise airport on over 2,200 acres; and Hazelwood Village, a PUD of 605 single family lots on 120 acres plus eighteen acres of multi-family and twelve acres of commercial.

Over the years, three of Ted’s sons have joined him in this business; Tucker in 1992, Sam in 1998 and Tyler in 2008.
